Summer Fun 2010

Apparently we had a tough time keeping up with the blog this summer! These pictures capture some of the things we did to stay busy: 4th of July with our Adams' Family cousins, Slidewaters in Chelan with Peyton and Paddy, hanging out at the Allen's house, getting ready for a rafting trip down the Wenatchee River, pool fun, etc. It's always something with us Wulf's =)

Silverwood in August

We just spent a few days over in Idaho... a girls' trip to Silverwood! Our cousin, Peyton, went with us, and we had a lot of fun. My favorite roller coaster was The Corkscrew, Kailie's and Mom's was Aftershock, and Peyton's was Timber Terror. We all got soaking wet in Thunder Canyon... water even got in my mouth because I was laughing so hard!

Monroe's Reptile Zoo

On one of our trips across the mountains, we finally stopped at the Reptile Zoo in Monroe, WA. The girls got to hold a few of the reptiles... definitely worth the stop!

Sunday Excursion

Summer is finally here! No more school, no more books... well, you know the rest! The girls have been out of school for over a week now, and we have filled up our days off with dance rehearsals & recitals (Kailie dances with The Next Step Dance Studio), gymnastics (Maeghan is still with Apple Valley), art classes through the museum, family visits, swimming, bike rides (the girls made it around the Loop Trail twice this past week), and finally a visit to Ohme Gardens on Sunday. This week we are exchanging the art classes for bible school; and since the hills around town are still pretty green, a few hikes will be on the list too. We will be sure to post some pictures!

The Reptile Zoo came to our school...

So you know that Reptile Zoo off Highway 2 (near Monroe) that you never stop in to visit, you should totally reconsider that the next time you drive over to the west side of our state. The Reptile Man came over to Wenatchee yesterday courtesy of the PTA at the girls' school. It was actually pretty entertaining! We got to meet a couple of turtles, some lizards, more than a few venomous snakes, and a sweet alligator. Here are some pictures the girls had taken while we were there... Maeghan is holding Lucy the alligator, and Kailie is wrapped up in Betty the Boa Constrictor. I know we will be making the stop the next time we drive across the mountains =)

Our January activities... so far

Posted by Picasa

We have been travelling to gymnastics meets to watch our Maeghan flip out (in a good way); Kailie and Daddy have had a few special hunting trips; we've celebrated some special birthdays (Daddy turned 40 and Kailie turned 10!); and most importantly, we have enjoyed each others' company!!

We Wulf's love to be in the paper... or on TV... or both!!

So for those of you who don't know it already... our dad is totally famous. That's right... we said it: F.A.M.O.U.S.  Yeah, he has a tv show and everything!  And because of that tv show he got to be on the front page of the newspaper over the past weekend.  Of course, our favorite part is that he actually mentions us in the article, so we get to be famous by relation.  Pretty sweet, huh?  We think so!
Good job, Daddy =)

The King and us...

Posted by Picasa

For the past two & a half months Kailie and I were up to our necks with preparations for the 2009 All-District Musical The King & I. I was a producer, and Kailie was one of the Royal Children in the production... what a fantastic experience! We made new friends (at least 177 of them), had lots of fun (hanging out back stage, eating yummy snacks, playing games, doing crafts, etc.), and we helped to put on the best show in town. It was truly awesome!!

September 2009

Well, we've been busy since school started, that's for sure! For the past two weeks it seems like Mom has been living on the computer or hanging out at the high school (auditions and meetings and all that kind of stuff for The King & I). Besides going to school, we have filled our weeks with soccer practices and soccer games, a Panther football game (we beat Southridge this past Friday night), opening weekend for the Wenatchee Wild(the boys are now 8-0, and we can't wait go to the next game on October 1st), and our Grandma's wedding. Maeghan & I got to be flower girls in that thing, and it sure was fun! We got to stay up late and dance with our cousins...
I got a part in the play that Mom is working on; I am going to be one of the Royal Children. I am pretty excited now, but I sure was nervous during the auditions. Lots of my friends are in the play too, so that is going to be lots of fun. If you want to see us, the play is going to be sometime in November... I'm not too sure of the dates, so you'll have to talk to my Mom!
We've been waiting and waiting, and finally we get to start our piano lessons next week. Mrs. Lopushinsky, who is the rehearsal pianist for the play, is going to be our teacher. She is really nice, so Megs and I are happy that she is going to be our teacher. And, because I'm in the play, Mom said that I should start taking the Broadway class at Miss Becca's studio. Pretty cool, huh? Megs doesn't want to take any dance classes, so she's just going to stick with gymnastics.
Well, Dad just told me to get off the computer... I gotta get some reading minutes in for this week's homework. Bye!

Summer is over???

Looks like it, girls! Actually, Kailie & Maeghan were both ready to start school last Wednesday. They are playing soccer this fall, with the first games starting this week. Kailie is going to audition for the all-district musical The King & I next week (I am one of the producers), Maeghan will get back into gymnastics, and they both are going to start piano lessons pretty soon. Whew... add in our season tickets to the Wild (our most favorite hockey team ever), and we have a busy schedule through next spring! Hopefully we will see you at a game or two =)

Summer 2009

Wow! It has been a busy summer for us Wulf Girls. We have done basketball camp at Wenatchee High School, Bible School at First Pres, art camp at McDee's, soccer camp at Walla Walla park, ice skating lessons at the arena, and right now we are in the middle of dive camp at the city pool! Whew! (And you thought summers were for taking a break!!!) We have been using our pool a lot (especially the last few weeks with the temps in the 90's and 100's) and we like to go bowling too... also, I get to go to hunter safety classes pretty soon. Like my dad, I am ready for hunting season to begin... he has been doing lots of work down at the property so that we will have a great season for sure. What else have we been doing this summer? We took a road trip to Nevada the weekend of July 4th. It was a lot of fun in the car... we watched movies, colored, listened to our iPods, looked at the scenery, snacked, and enjoyed each other. We stayed at this great hotel in Reno that had a 50-lane bowling alley inside... we made sure that our mom took us bowling everyday. We also went up to the waterslides in Lake Chelan one day. Mom didn't take any pictures of that fun time, so hopefully we will go up and do it again before summer is over. Speaking of that, can you believe that school starts in only 4 weeks?! Yikes!! I sure am glad we get to lay around for the rest of the summer!

School's out for summer...

... but here is what we have been up to the last few months! Hopefully we will be better about updating our blog in the hot, sunny months to come =)

Monday, May 4, 2009

Wow... it's almost been two months since we've posted here!!

Okay, we know you're probably thinking that we have just been lazy about our blog... unfortunately, that is closer to the truth than we would like to admit! We have spent the past two months boisterously cheering on the Wenatchee Wild throughout their playoff run. It has been a Wild ride (and don't pardon the pun)!! We have become such huge fans that if we aren't tailgating before a hockey game, cheering for the team at the Town Toyota Center, or watching a game on tv (or the computer), we are making plans to do so! We really don't know what we are going to do now that the season is over... five months is an awfully long time...
All kidding aside, we Wulf's really have been busy with things other than hockey. Both Kailie and Maeghan are playing spring soccer; they still go to gymnastics each week (but only one day instead of two); and they both attend the Good News Club every Tuesday after school. Mommy helped to produce this year's Apple Blossom Musical Gypsy (it is currently showing at the PAC in Wenatchee), and Daddy is hard at work (as usual). In his free time, however, he likes to put on his skates and (you guessed it) play hockey!!
Happy Spring!

Father Daughter Dance

Daddy just told us to get ready and look pretty, because he was going to take us on a special "DATE"... so with Mom's help, we put on our party dresses and curled our hair. Daddy even got dressed up in his handsome clothes! We were ready to go on our night out with Dad... but where were we going? Daddy surprised us by taking us to the Father Daughter Dance at the Masonic Temple. (He saw the poster when he was playing hockey on Monday afternoon, and he thought it would be a special thing for us to do together). So after Mommy took a million pictures of us, off we went... it was SO much fun! I didn't do too much dancing, but Kailie sure did!! Daddy says that she is just like Mommy (she wouldn't get off the dance floor, and when she finally did? She had a new best friend!!) We each got a pretty rose to take home too. It was a great night... Thanks, Daddy!!

Who let the dogs out???

Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! My birthday party was so much fun!! My friends came over on Sunday afternoon around 4pm. Since we didn't have school on Monday (for Martin Luther King Day), mommy said I could have a sleepover! When everyone got to my house, we had a good time painting Bobblehead dogs, eating pizza, playing the wii, and just hanging out. Then after dinner, we all went to see the movie 'Hotel for Dogs'. For some reason mommy sat in a whole different row than we did... The movie was great- everyone loved it!! After the movie we went back to the house and opened presents (more Webkinz... just what I always wanted). Then we got to have some ice-cream cake, and it was sooo yummy! Finally (said my mom) we all got our pajamas on and we spread out our sleeping bags in the playroom. Most of us girls fell asleep watching another movie, but some people stayed up pretty late. I don't think those girls liked it when we woke them up early (like at 6am). Oh well. It was a great party, and I sure have some great friends =)

Today the Wenatchee World... Tomorrow???

Well, I finally got my picture (the big one in the middle) in the Wenatchee World! I say 'finally' because Kailie-the-camera-hog has already been in there twice! Anyway, even though I didn't make the front page, I don't think page A-5 is too shabby. I found the captions (and the rest of the photos) on the online photo gallery for the World, and I did some minor editing so they wouldn't be repetitive on the blog... now you just have to figure out which caption goes with which photo!

1) Maeghan Wulf, 7, Wenatchee, laughs as her cousin's dog sits on the canvas during the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center's "Making Art With The Family Dog" day on Saturday. Annie belongs to Mikaila Allen, 16, who is having her 17th birthday in February, and her family wanted to have her dog make a piece of art for her.

2) Maeghan tries to control Annie...

3)Cousins Patrick Allen, 9, and Maeghan Wulf, 7, Wenatchee, run after Annie the dog, who bolted for the restroom while making dog prints... they got her!

4)Annie's creation is taken away to dry as she watches the procedure from off of the canvas.

Yay for me!

The Boys are Back in Town...

Hockey is back!! The Wild took a three week break (at least) over the holidays, but they returned to Wenatchee with a vengeance. We got to go to the game on Saturday night, and it was great! We had such a good time at the game, and what a game to watch! Even though there weren't any big fights (poor Mommy), the Wild played a great game beating the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to sweep the series. Things weren't looking that good for us as we were down 5-1 at one point in the game, but the Wild turned on the heat and ended up winning 7-5. It was awesome!
The best part came after the game when we were just hanging out with our friends on the concourse. All of the Wild players came out to sign autographs! So Mommy made me and Megs take off our jerseys, and we had the boys sign them. You should see our jerseys now... they look pretty cool. Hope to see you at the next Wild game!!

We Wish You a Merry Christmas...

As you can see from the pictures, we had a wonderful Christmas with our family. We got to visit Santa twice before the big day, so we were pretty confident about what we were going to get, but he still managed to surprise us! That Santa is pretty cool! We hope all of our friends had an equally joyous Christmas with lots of family, love, food, and presents (Maeghan made me say that). Happy New Year from me and the rest of the Wulf's!!

Laughing all the way (ha ha ha)...

Posted by Picasa

Yesterday was the 2nd Grade Christmas program at the girls' school. Maeghan was the cutest little elf!! She loves to sing and be in front of people, and yesterday was no exception. Megs especially loved the songs about getting socks for Christmas and having a snowball fight. Here in Wenatchee we are experiencing a little bit of coldness... I was just talking to a friend in Portland last week about how we still didn't have any snow yet. Oh, be careful what you wish for, because not only do we finally have snow (just a little bit) but the cold temperatures to go with it. It is days like these (4 degrees this morning when I took the girls to school) that make me long for a beach in Hawaii or visiting my sister in Arizona =) And since neither of those trips are going to happen in the next few days, I am going to enjoy the cold from inside my cozy house... put on some Christmas music, wrap some presents, bake some yummy cookies, maybe even enjoy a hot buttered rum at some point! Enjoy the weather (where-ever you are!!)
