Our Silverwood Experience

Posted by Picasa

We had a great time at Silverwood a few weeks ago; even time spent in the car and our hotel was fun. It was really hot (like in the hundreds), so we had the most fun in the wave pool. Daddy taught us how to dive under the waves (like we were in the ocean), but those things just kept coming (and they were HUGE!!). We also got to go on some big coasters (Timber Terror, Tremors, Corkscrew (Maeghan and Mikaila went on that thing about 20 times on Saturday), and the new Aftershock (only Mommy, Daddy, and Mikaila went on that one... Megs and I were waaaaay too scared). We also got soaked on the Thunder Canyon ride! The best part for me was the end of the day on Saturday when Mommy bought us some cotton candy (it was pink and purple... hello... the colors totally make it taste better) and then we got to go on the carousel. Twice. Well, the first ride we took on that thing was kinda doofy, because me and Megs both picked horses that didn't even move. What's the point? So we got to go again, and that was cool.
We also got to spend some time both Saturday and Sunday at the new Cabela's store in Post Falls. Even though it was Mommy who spent the money there, I think it was my dad's favorite part of the whole trip. Do you know they have real fish is a big aquarium there? Also they have this shooting gallery where you get to shoot fake guns at targets. And they have a couple of different places (mom called them kiosks) where you can play hunting video games (like Cabela's Big Game Hunter). And there is this whole mountain in the middle of the store with a bunch of animals (dead and stuffed) all over it. That was pretty neat to see. Mikaila said that here favorite part was listening to the guy who was demonstrating the elk call... for about 2 straight hours... both days. Mikaila is so funny!

How many days until my birthday?

I made this widget at MyFlashFetish.com.

Maeghan has been asking me a variation of this question almost everyday for the past 3 months! (I have since updated it for her 9th birthday) Now if she could just figure out how to type in the blog address when she gets on the computer... she will be able to see her birthday countdown and we'll be golden!

And we're off... again...

No pictures of us today, which is a bummer, because last weekend we were up at the lake (Chelan) for 5 days, and Mommy brought her camera with the dead battery. We would have had some great pictures too: jumping off the breakwater (at the yacht club) and swimming with our Daddy; playing (hiking up and down the hill, swimming, riding in the Kubota, watching movies, playing the Wii, eating Miss Staci's yummy cooking, and just having fun)with our friends Dalin, Kaleb, Lexi, Stephani, and Camille, Mommy and Ray's iPod war (a weird game that they both really liked); Carson's birthday party (she's my best friend); visiting Daddy's friends (the Baker's); and spending a day on Poppa Ken's big boat (we anchored in down by the Lady of the Lake dock, and we got to jump off the top of the boat and swim). We had a great vacation... we just don't have the pictures to prove it!

Today we are heading over to Silverwood in Idaho. We are taking my cousin, Mikaila, with us! We are staying in a hotel in Post Falls... I think we are only staying in that town because of the new Cabela's store that recently opened up (and hunting season is just around the corner). Anyway, it is supposed to be super hot over there this weekend, so I'm really glad that Silverwood has a big water park! I will make sure that Mommy brings the camera (and the battery is charged) so we can show you how our trip turned out. Have a great weekend!!

Oh yeah, Mommy wanted me to tell you about some funny things my sister and I have said over the past few days. First, yesterday morning when Kailie finished her breakfast, she said, "Tony the Tiger was right!" Mommy asked her, "About what?" and Kailie replied, "These are grrrrreat!!" It made Mommy laugh. Then today, Mommy asked me what Kailie liked to do (so she could change the 'FAVORITES' section of this blog)... I said to Mommy, "She likes to party." When Mommy started laughing, I cracked up too =) We Wulf's should be in comedy!

Where in the World have the Wulf's been lately?!?!

We haven't posted anything to our blog in such a long time, that Mommy got sick of being shown up by Auntie Krissy (on Caden's blog), so... well, we won't write anything lengthy this time. Short and sweet, that's all we have time for: birthday parties + holidays + dance recitals + short drives across the mountains + trips to zoos + day camps + swimming lessons + hikes + sand and surf + family time + spring soccer + cookie sales (Girl Scouts) + classroom parties (inside & out) + class musicals = BUSY FAMILY!!

October, November, & December 2007- we've been busy!

We have not updated our blog in such a loooong time, and we are going to blame our busy schedules for such a catastrophe! Mommy tried to pick out pictures from the past few months that tell the story of what we have been doing. The oldest pictures are from Halloween where I am dressed up as Violet Incredi-Wulf. My sister, Maeghan was a Mummy Fairy and in the group picture are our cousins Patrick (Pirate), Mikaila (pretty fairy), and Peyton (masked Raggedy Ann). Maeghan lost a tooth that night too! In some of the pictures I have lots of makeup on; that is from when I got to be in the all-district musical Cats in Wenatchee. My cousins Peyton & Patrick were also in the play, and there is a picture of them here too. I had a great time learning all the songs and making friends with the big kids. (Probably the only part I didn't really like was my mom french-braiding my hair every night so I could wear my wig!) Did you see that great snowman in the picture with Maeghan? She made it all by herself after our very first snowfall! Pretty cool, huh? Next up is a picture of Daddy with the shooter-buck (that's what I call 'em) that he got in Canada during Thanksgiving weekend. It is huge! Then I am in costume (yet again) for The Nutcracker in December. I really do like being in shows, mostly because it is fun to hang out in the dressing room with the other kids. We eat lots of snacks, we color, play games, and some of them even let me use their Nintendo DSes (because my mom won't buy me one). Also, I'll let you in on a little secret: when you're in a show... people bring you presents. It's totally true! I got flowers, balloons, toys, candy... all kinds of great stuff! So, if you are in the market for some new things and you want to learn some good dance moves (courtesy of Mr. Paul Atwood, the best Director ever) and cool songs, you should audition for the next musical. It is great! We have had lots of fun the past month too. We went to a party at Lala's house at the beginning of December, enjoyed Christmas Eve with our Nanny and Poppa and Grandpa (Mommy & Daddy too), and got to see our Brewster cousins up at Grandma's house and some of our Adams' cousins at Nanny's house on Christmas Day. Maeghan helped Daddy clean ducks (it was way too cold for me... plus, I hunted with him that day already). And lastly, is some pictures from today. When we got home after school, Daddy had already cleared a course for sledding for us. Because our yard is completely flat, we have to improvise. Fortunately for us, our Dad has the coolest toys/tractors for his work, and he pulls us on a sled behind one of them, the Gator. It is a lot less work than having to hike up some hill to sled down, I'll tell you that much! Well, it is almost time for dinner, and I have to go check things out in the kitchen (make sure Mommy is not making anything gross, like last night, when we had green beans). We just wanted to update everyone on what we have been doing... we still care about our blog... we just got busy, that's all. It is supposed to snow more this week... so here's to lots of fun times on the sled!

Our Saddlerock Hike

We had such a fun time on Sunday, October 5th. Mommy decided that we needed to go on a hike, and while we were at it we would search for a few letterboxes we knew were hidden around Saddlerock. First we hiked up the trail by the WRAC (or "Mommy's Gym" as some of you know it); we not only found the first letterbox, we ran into one of my friends from St. Joseph's Pre-K (Maya-Papaya). It was so much fun! Kailie, Maya, and I ran up the trail and beat all the slow parents to the water tower. Maya's daddy had M&M's for us to snack on, and that made me really happy. We all decided that we were going to head back down the trail, because we thought we were too tired to hike all the way up to Saddlerock. Well, we made it down to our car, and ate some more snacks and drank some water. Then we drove around to the other side of that hill (Appleatchee), because Mommy said there was another letterbox over there. So we hiked, followed the map, hiked some more, found the letterbox, sat and rested, got up, hiked some more, and I told Mommy that I was pretty pooped. I don't know how she did it, but Mommy convinced us that we really didn't have that far to go, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Saddlerock up close, could we?! I really wanted to go home, but I could tell Mommy was kinda excited to keep walkin' up that big, steep hill. Then, it was so cool, we met a friend of our mom's coming down the trail... she was with another friend, and they were on horses! (I thought Kailie was gonna pee her pants!) Well, we got to get on those guys... and ride up the steepest part of the hill. It was great! Finally, after a lot more hiking (and not on the horses) we made it up to the very tip-top. We looked through our binoculars and called Nanny and Poppa to see if they could see us through their binoculars at their house. It was lots of fun! What a great day!

I am totally famous... check me out!

The Wenatchee World Online: It took Mommy a long time to get this on the blog, but I totally was in the paper last week. Oh yeah, my dad was in the picture too... but you can't see him, because he is wearing his camo stuff (and that's kinda the point!) Really, I am so famous right now... people are asking me for my autograph! Well, okay, only one person did... but still. (And when my mom quits being such a slacker, she is going to put on some new pictures of me and my sister playing soccer and hiking up Saddlerock).

It's my party...

What a great birthday!! We had so much fun swimming together and some of us even painted the windows of our sliding glass doors... but we never did get to frost those cupcakes mommy made. That's okay. Here I am with the 'Stinkersmell' present I got from you guys. I have been using it all week and even let my sister play with it too. I'm six now, so I can share (too bad you aren't here to witness this little miracle). We miss you!

The experiment

So, here is how the whole thing started... On Tuesday night Mommy was cleaning up the kitchen and talking to Daddy. She kept noticing this dumb fly that was on the ceiling above Dad's head. She had a candle jar that she was getting ready to throw away (the candle had just burned out that day), and she had just put an empty Diet Pepsi can in the jar too. Well, since our mom is so tall, she just reached up with that jar and trapped the fly inside it. Daddy didn't think she'd be able to keep it in there when she slid the jar off the ceiling, but Mommy did AND she happened to have a lid which fit the jar. Daddy called us from the playroom and said we were going to conduct a science experiment. We were going to see how long the fly would live inside the jar; we all got to guess how long we thought the fly would last, and I wrote the number of days that each person picked under their name/initial. Mommy picked the right number... the experiment passed away on Thursday afternoon. ~ Maeghan

Our First Post

Well, today we created our own blog; we wanted to have an easy way to talk with our family and show them all the fun and cool things we do in Wenatchee. As you can see from the pictures on our site, we now have a brand new cousin. His name is Caden Michael, and he was born on Saturday morning. Of course we drove over there as soon as we could get ready (you know our mom, so that took a bit longer than it would for other people). We got to the hospital Saturday afternoon, and we introduced ourselves to the baby. He is really small (and we don't believe Mom when she tells us we (almost) used to be that little), and he sleeps a lot (Mom says she sometimes wishes that we still did, but we had no idea what she was talking about). Baby Caden finally opened his eyes for a long time on Sunday afternoon, and we all got to hold him again (but just for a little bit).

View our slideshow! Here is the latest (and greatest) addition to our family. He is absolutely beautiful!!!
